  Synopsis
  ----------------------------------------------
  
  	This software provides a working site-wide password
  verification and administration system using Miva DBase
  compatible files. It may be used as either a "gateway"
  to multiple protected pages, a central verification hub
  for multiple scripts, or both.

  Logger2 Features
  -----------------------------------------------
  
    Provides four distinct levels of security. Protected pages
  (scripts) may use different levels of security. Three of the
  security levels will maintain state (remember if the user is
  logged-on).
  
    Each protected page has the ability to use a different custom
  HTML header and footer for the log-on and cookie dialog screens.
  
    Totally automated "cookie" management (even with custom HTML
  headers). Visitors that are reluctant to accept a cookie, in
  the security level that requires cookies, are given the option
  of accepting an temporary (session) cookie instead.
  
    All DB searches use MvFILTER so no DB indexes are required.
  This reduces DB storage cost to 1/5 the size of previous Logger
  versions.
  
    No sensitive information is passed in the URL or by using
  hidden form variables.

  scripts represent my best efforts to design a reasonably
  secure system but I accept no liability for damages caused
  if this software fails in any way.
  
    These scripts should run on any Miva v3.2 enabled server.
